Smugglers Cove – Meet the Team

The Nadi based hotel, Smugglers Cove, is where the project will officially begin and it is to be expected that the majority of your team of volunteers will be there the night before the projects official start date. The night before is your opportunity to meet the team.

After your Leader Briefing with your project coordinator, they will take a picture of your leadership unit and post it into your team of volunteer’s group chat with information on where you will be and at what time that evening to meet them.

Once you have arrived at Smugglers Cove, make sure to:

  1. Check in at reception – Make sure there is the correct booking to accommodate all leaders for 1 night. 
  2. Place orders for your meal – Think Pacific has an arrangement where your meals as leaders are included. There is a set menu (see the appendix), place your orders at the bar.
  3. 6:00pm, meet the team – Make sure to wear your Think Pacific Leader t-shirts, all leaders should stand in the bar area by the pool / in an allocated location in the seating area by the beach. Your team will see you and approach to introduce themselves to you and eachother. 

NB: It may be worthwhile to arrange some chairs (if possible) in a seating arrangement before the team comes to meet you at 6:00pm. 

NBB: Once friendly introductions have been made between team members and leaders, there is no obligation for you to chat with the team all evening, feel free to get some rest if you need it!
