Bringing a good supply of basic first aid supplies is a good idea, especially when joining a partly rural based opportunity. You will be able to buy these items in chemists in Fiji but it’s always good to be prepared and have some packed (they are often more expensive in Fiji too.) It’s great practice for any ‘travel’ to get into the habit of keeping these items close.
Hopefully you won’t require these items, but our experience is that small illnesses and ailments are very common in such a different and tropical environment.
Our mindset for the project is always ‘Prevention is better than cure’.
