COVID Vaccination
Essential..
- You must have had 2 doses of a COVID vaccine to be allowed entry to Fiji. Your 2nd dose must have been taken more than 14 days before your arrival into Fiji.

- You must bring proof of your vaccinations. UK citizens can download the NHS Covid Pass
Is there a quarantine in Fiji?
- No, Travel to Fiji is quarantine-free for fully-vaccinated tourists visiting Fiji.
Covid tests BEFORE departure
- Covid tests are not required pre-departure to enter Fiji.
- However, we would advise you to take a lateral flow test at home before departure as arriving into Fiji with covid, could mean you require to isolate (at an additional cost of up to £500).
Insurance for Covid
Travellers (foreign nationals entering Fiji for a holiday) must have proof of insurance for COVID-19 coverage. You must be able to show this to board your flight (email copy on your phone is fine)
Ensure you are clear on what is covered in your Travel Insurance policy.
If you test positive for COVID-19 during your stay, appropriate insurance will be needed to cover costs related to room relocation and booking extensions, rebooking airline tickets and any associated medical costs.
In most instances insurance operate ‘pay and claim basis’ so please ensure you have funds available to cover medical or extra accommodation costs in emergency situations.

What happens if I test positive for COVID just before departure and I cannot fly?

- It may be possible for you to re-arrange your arrival date and join the team later depending on requirements from your university.
What happens if I test positive for COVID whilst I am in Fiji?
- If you test positive at this time, you will need to isolate within a hotel room for 5 days.
- You will need to pay extra hotel costs in this case – please budget for this or ensure you have appropriate insurance.
- Think Pacific are there to offer 24/7 support
- Please ensure that you have insurance, which covers additional costs caused by testing positive for COVID.
- Insurance is generally ‘pay and claim basis’. Even if you are insurance, please have at least £500 available for emergency medical expenses in Fiji.
Will I need a Covid test before departure from Fiji?
- You do not generally need to take a covid test to depart Fiji
- However, please check the rules for any country you may be travelling to after Fiji.
What happens if I test positive for COVID just before my departure flight from Fiji?
- If you test positive just prior to your return flight, you will be required to isolate in a resort for 5 days until you are deemed ‘fit to fly’.
